CATIM is a technology and innovation center with specialized laboratories and technical teams for metrology, materials and product testing, industrial validation, standardization and conformity assessment, sustainability assessment, and machinery safety.
CATIM offers technical expertise for EUROGIA 2030 projects in testing, validation, metrology, conformity assessment, sustainability assessment, energy efficiency and machinery safety applied to clean energy, industrial decarbonisation and sustainable industrial technologies. Its contribution may include laboratory testing, metrological assessment, product and component validation, materials characterisation, corrosion and coating assessment, life cycle assessment and carbon footprint assessment.
Relevant areas include hydrogen and renewable gases, gas equipment operating with hydrogen or hydrogen-methane blends, H₂ and other gas sensors, heat pumps, industrial thermal processes, materials and components exposed to demanding industrial environments, circularity, and the safe integration of automated or robotic equipment in industrial demonstrators. CATIM can also support safety assessment, technical documentation and conformity-oriented validation activities.

Brief description of my Organisation
CATIM – Technological Center for the Metalworking Industry is a Portuguese private non-profit organisation established in 1986 to support innovation and competitiveness in the metalworking industry and related sectors. It has more than 700 associates, mostly SMEs, and supports around 3,500 companies annually. As a Technology and Innovation Centre, CATIM works with companies and research organisations in applied R&D and innovation projects, helping to bridge the gap between technology development and industrial application.
