EMEC supports the development of offshore energy, green hydrogen, clean transport and energy systems sectors, helping to reduce the time, cost and risk of R&D, and support technology developers to reach the market.
EMEC is the world’s leading accredited test laboratory and inspection body for demonstrating ocean energy technologies in the sea, spanning components and subsystems testing to full-scale demonstration. EMEC also operates a green hydrogen production and storage R&D facility and is exploring options to develop a floating wind test site.
