Solutions to convert MSW, plastic and animal waste, and CO₂ into synthetic fuels and bio-inputs, focusing on microalgae, circular economy, and low-cost, high-impact technologies.
Haka Bioprocessos offers specialized technological solutions that integrate biotechnology, thermochemical processes, and circular economy principles to transform waste and emissions into valuable products.
Our core specialties include:
Microalgae cultivation in modular, low-cost photobioreactors, capable of capturing CO₂ emissions and converting them into biomass for biofuels (such as biocrude, SAF, and HVO), protein, and biofertilizers.
Chemical recycling of plastic waste through pyrolysis and fractional distillation, producing synthetic crude oil, naphtha, and diesel.
Valorization of animal waste (condemned carcasses, bones, slaughterhouse sludge) into calcium phosphate, bicorude and Diesel HVO.
Processing of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) into fuels and raw materials using decentralized, 200 kg/batch pilot plant with integrated drying, thermal conversion, distillation and incineration gas chamber to eliminate Dioxins.
Our expertise allows us to develop adaptable solutions for different industrial sectors, municipalities, and regions seeking low-carbon alternatives for energy, fertilizer, and materials. We combine environmental compliance, economic viability, and high scalability, offering complete technical structuring, implementation support, and long-term innovation partnerships.

Brief description of my Organisation
Haka Bioprocessos LTDA is a Brazilian deeptech startup focused on developing scalable and affordable technologies to decarbonize industry and valorize waste. Headquartered in Lapa, Paraná, Haka has been incubated by UFPR (Federal University of Paraná) and collaborates with national and international partners, including Embrapa, Sebrae and EMBRAPII.
Our projects cover the entire innovation chain, from laboratory R&D to pilot and industrial-scale implementation, with a strong focus on:
Carbon capture through microalgae using patented photobioreactor systems;
Synthetic fuel production (biocrude, green diesel, SAF, pyrolytic oil);
Waste-to-resource platforms for MSW, plastics, and animal residues;
Circular economy models that include cooperatives, industries, and municipalities.
We are currently executing a R$17 million project funded by FINEP to build a pilot chemical recycling plant for plastic waste and advancing a second facility for MSW treatment. Haka also holds patented technologies in pyrolysis and thermal refining and is committed to sustainable industrial symbiosis and carbon credit generation.
