NGV – All Clear for Take-off: converting carbon-rich waste into SAF and other renewables via a low-cost catalytic process, which cuts over 90% of CO2 emissions throughout the product lifecycle. NGV aims to scale up to industrial production within 24 month
Objective of my Project Idea

NGV offers a patented catalytic process that converts a wide range of carbon-rich renewable feedstocks, including CO₂ emissions, into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and other renewable products.

Unlike conventional Fischer-Tropsch (FT) technology, NGV’s process eliminates the need for extensive gas conditioning and product upgrading, reducing both CAPEX and OPEX by over 20%. With higher yields and feedstock flexibility, NGV ensures a scalable and cost-effective SAF production pathway.
After successfully validating its patented technology in a mini-pilot facility, NGV has reached a critical milestone: scaling up its process to an operational pilot plant, a 400-fold expansion that will commence operations by late 2025.
For this, we seek strategic partnerships to participate in the plant's construction and operation, which is designed to process biogas generated from organic waste and CO₂, targeting the production of over 50 Liters of SAF per day for more than a year. This will generate essential data for industrial-scale implementation
Beyond validating laboratory-scale results, the pilot plant will mark the first time NGV operates with real feedstocks. This will provide crucial insights to refine the process, adapt to evolving market conditions, and ensure commercial viability. Specifically, the data gathered will enable NGV to:
• Optimize production yields and enhance product selectivity based on real-world performance;
• Maximize the value of different product fractions, unlocking markets beyond SAF;
• Establish strategic partnerships with companies specializing in complementary production chain components.

By leveraging abundant and low-cost waste feedstocks, NGV enables the aviation industry to meet global and regional SAF blending mandates while significantly cutting GHG emissions and advancing global decarbonization goals.

Brief description of my Organisation

NGV is an emerging company advancing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production through an innovative catalytic process. Founded in 2023 by the Ralco Group Investment arm and BGN Technologies, the technology transfer company of Ben-Gurion University, NGV is built on a decade of research at the Blechner Center for Industrial Catalysis and Process Development at Ben-Gurion University.
Over the past year, the company has successfully developed its proprietary catalyst and assured the possibility of scaling it up in collaboration with a leading global manufacturer, completed laboratory-scale SAF production trials using synthetic biogas and finalized the engineering design for its pilot plant. NGV has also been selected to participate in the COP29 conference as part of the Israeli delegation, further underscoring its role in advancing sustainable fuel solutions.
As the company moves toward pilot-scale implementation, NGV is seeking strategic technology partners to support its scale-up and contribute to the development of a cost-effective, scalable SAF production pathway.
