Smart, Sustainable and Accessible Dialysis for Millions of Kidney Failure Patients
Qidni Labs is developing a portable, nearly waterless dialysis system powered by a proprietary sorbent-based cartridge. Traditional dialysis consumes up to 500 liters of water per treatment, making it one of the most resource-intensive therapies worldwide. Our cartridge reduces water use by more than 90 percent, enabling treatment outside traditional infrastructure and making dialysis both sustainable and accessible.
This project aims to co-develop and scale next-generation cartridges with advanced materials, sorbents, and membranes, while also integrating a remote monitoring platform and AI-based predictive analytics. The digital system will track device performance, anticipate cartridge exhaustion or component failure, and allow clinicians to supervise patients remotely, ensuring safety and continuity of care.
The outcome will be a commercially viable, eco-friendly dialysis platform that saves billions of liters of water annually, reduces costs for health systems, and improves quality of life for patients globally.
We seek international partners to contribute expertise in materials science, cleantech engineering, medical device manufacturing, ICT/telehealth platforms, and sustainability validation. Together, we will demonstrate how advanced healthcare and environmental sustainability can progress hand in hand.
