Energy storage carbon borane porous material for hydrogen
Objective of Project Idea:
Production of carbon based materials from the mixtures of biomass and plastic waste via pyrolysis process:The production of ultra-porous materials by pyrolsis for hyrdrogen storage and transportation. The life is based on carbon in the Earth. We are carbon based life form. Therefore, the produced biomaterials should be compatible with body. The pyrolysis is a thermochemical conversion tecnique that the presumbly the solid mass can be converted into liquid (tar), solid (char) and gas matrials. along with the production of petroleum equivalent pyrolytic liquid, pyrolysis process is a promising technique to produce solid carbon based materials, chars. The fine structured[...]

Project Name: Forecasting of Spatial Solar Irradiance and Support in 3D for Urban Areas. Project Acronym: FoSSIS3
Objective of Project Idea:
SUMMARY The sustainability of cities can be achieved by examining many components such as social, artistic, technical and in the region transportation, infrastructure and environmental problems as a whole. For this reason, 3D models can be modeled not only for visualization purposes, but also to contain geometric and semantic information in a way that allows impact analysis. The evaluation of the solar energy potential in the urban environment to be presented within the scope of FoSSIS3 project will be an important predictive tool in terms of analysis and policy decisions regarding renewable energy distribution in cities. Ensuring sustainability and the[...]

Constructing a prototype of recycling feeding system for culturing freshwater fish juveniles
Objective of Project Idea:
Recently, we developed a three-component laboratory system for feeding juvenile fishes that are involved in intensive freshwater fish farming. The primary goal of this project was to replace the sea fish meal of the diet and found a cost-friendly protein substituent. In our lake, we studied a food chain that we reproduced in the lab and investigated parts of the system. Results look promising, and we like to build up the whole system, specify the working parameters, and make recommendations for farmers. Currently, it seems that at least in laboratory size, the wastes can be recycled, and the whole system[...]

Circular Beer Production
Objective of Project Idea:
BRØL is a social enterprise dedicated to creating a sustainable circular economy surrounding the production of organic craft beer and low-ABV beers from upcycled (e.g. 20-40% surplus bread, rice, corn, fruit) and other recycled/upcycled/circular products: “green”, “sustainable”, “circular” are the core enablers of our product and not just a marketing strategy. By using only i.e. 30% surplus instead of malt with our current technology, we are able to reduce our carbon footprint to scales that are competitive with large breweries employing all the “sustainable” tactics in their playbook. We want to turn food surplus into added value in our craft[...]
GREEN HYDROGEN HOUSE PROJECT
Objective of Project Idea:
As GAZBİR-GAZMER, with the "Renewable Gas Production" project we started in 2019, hydrogen production started with electricity obtained from renewable energy sources. For testing purposes in the laboratory, an average of 5 to 20 percent hydrogen was mixed with 95 to 80 percent natural gas, and the resulting mixture was burned for test purposes. The results of the first tests were positive, and significant success was achieved for the next stages. Tests for use in domestic devices are still ongoing by mixing the produced hydrogen with natural gas. We have the Hydrogen House project in order to achieve our hydrogen[...]

Suitability Analysis New Wind Farms or Solar Panels Using GIS, Remote sensing and ML Algorithms
Objective of Project Idea:
Finding a perfect location for wind turbines is always a difficult task. Our Project aims to analyze the potential of land for building a wind farm where we can produce sustainable energy. The solar panels; we aim to take advantage of satellite thermal images and if found suitable the new further analyze with drones and get a better understanding of the area with thermal images and surface models. OR, Wind turbines; we aim to analyze climate projections from the past and for the future, create surface models using the pictures of drones and make sure the land is available for[...]
